London Wall

Manchester-based branding agency, TBWA\MCR, currently occupies the 4th floor at the centrally-located Canada House – Art Nouveau-style office building, originally constructed all the way back in 1909. The TBWA\MCR team sought a solution that would enable staff to work as a team, or split up into pairs and work within quickly configurable zones.

Their search lead them to the discovery of Float – London Wall’s agile moving panel system – which has been installed to allow several areas of desking the flexibility to work as a large open workspace or in smaller, dedicated silos.

The system is comprised of over 15 panels, featuring a number of finishes including drywipe, acoustic panels and solid panels with printed graphics. Half of the panels are equipped with a drywipe surface which allows for extra writing space during team meetings, presentations, brainstorming sessions and more.

The other half of the panels feature PET polyester, which incorporates custom cut-out shapes in a variety of colours. In addition to providing a uniquely textured finish, the PET panels offer protection from noise distraction thanks to the material being sound absorbent. The aluminium panel frames – which have been painted to match the PET finishes on show – ensure durability, increasing the system’s lifespan.
