London’s Clerkenwell Design Week 17
The London district of Clerkenwell houses more creative businesses than anywhere else in the world and celebrates this with the annual Clerkenwell Design Week.
CDW17 displayed new products, exhibitions, workshops and installations that showcased the best in international design. From studios to showrooms, London’s design district came to life. The eighth edition was the biggest yet. With 250 exhibitors, including more than 90 showrooms, 10 installations
and 7 exhibitions there was everything from leather-craft workshops, a secret garden, stunning structures, wood-carving demonstrations, a fleet of eye-catching Twizy’s, a plethora of pop-ups, thought-provoking talks and more product launches than you can imagine.
Integral to the festival were the local design showrooms who partner with Clerkenwell Design Week to create a diverse programme of topic-led events including talks, workshops and product launches. Clerkenwell has also become home to a host of architects, branding agencies and craft studios. In celebration of Clerkenwell Design Week they throw open their doors to the visitors hosting workshops, displays and installations.
This year’s bespoke showcase of workshops, talks, exhibitions viewings and drop-in sessions celebrated more than ever London’s exceptional craftsmanship, cultural heritage, diversity, innovation and design talent.
Next CDW takes place from 22-24 May 18 in London.
