Based in Somerset, Taunton School was founded all the way back in 1847 . While the building's stunning exterior has been immaculately preserved in the years since, the interior has of course been routinely upgraded during that time in order to support the ever-evolving demands of educational environments - including one of our Type G100 movable wall systems.
Working with fit out firm AKP and Incremental Group directly, London Wall was able to assist in shaping this perfect workspace by manufacturing and installing a selection of agile Float panels in a variety of finishes.
Our Type 100E Fully Electric movable wall was installed here a few years ago. This fully automatic system allows for ease of use and gives the client the ability to open or divide the lecture theatre in minutes with the touch of a button.
London Wall was approached to provide a space division solution within a large, open-plan area situated on the building’s 8th floor.
Over the last fifteen years, the interior has undergone a number of major changes to accommodate the SLC team’s ever changing needs – including the design, manufacture and installation of multiple Glide moving panel systems we delivered in 2021. SLC wanted to implement a solution that would allow them to re-configure the large, open plan and create smaller more private areas for staff when required.
This Type 100M installation at Longwater, perfectly demonstrates the unique properties a movable wall can offer. Working closely with Tate Hindle Architects and BAM Construction we were able meet and exceed their expectations. Oxford Properties now have a conferencing facility with complete flexibility and the ability to cater for multiple clients of various sizes.
